About Our Distinguished Panelists
Nathan Richardson, General Manager for Yahoo! Finance, is responsible for the Yahoo!
Finance business, including the development of marketing services, sales strategy, product development for the property and management of strategic business relationships with all Yahoo! Finance clients & partners. Richardson has been with Yahoo! since 2000 and General Manager of Yahoo! Finance since 2002, and in that time has proven instrumental in building and growing a variety of relationships with best-of-breed partners including Vanguard, Fidelity, Citigroup, Thomson, S&P, HSBC, Reuters, Checkfree, Financial Times, AP, Morningstar, Business Week, Suze Orman Media, Forbes and Multex.
Richardson is a recognized thought leader and often consulted by media worldwide for his financial expertise and familiarity with the online finance landscape. Nathan is recently voted the number one e- finance executive by Institutional Investor Magazine and is featured on the cover of the March 2005 issue.
Prior to joining Yahoo!, Richardson was an original member of Arthas that was later acquired by Yahoo!. He also served as vice president at Citigroup in the Emerging Markets Group in London, Riyadh, Warsaw, Johannesburg and Istanbul; consultant with CRI to NationsBank; and, business development volunteer in the Peace Corps.
Richardson holds a B.S. Cum Laude from Babson College where he was recipient of the Babson Globe Award and a graduate degree from Georgetown University.
Kim Malone, director of AdSense Online at Google. Prior to joining Google, Ms Malone was the CEO and co-founder of Juice Software, a business intelligence start-up based in New York City.
Ms. Malone was involved with two other technology start- ups as well: CapitalThinking, a commercial mortgage ASP and Delta Three, an Internet telephony service provider. In 1996, Ms Malone served as Senior Policy Adviser to Reed Hundt at the FCC. She lived and worked in Moscow from 1990-1994.
Ms. Malone is the author of two novels, The Measurement Problem and The Househusband. Ms. Malone spent the summer of 1999 in Kosovo managing a pediatric clinic. Education: Slavic Literature, B.A., Princeton University; Business, M.B.A., Harvard University Business School.
Ellen Siminoff, CEO (Former VP of Yahoo), eFrontier. As part of the founding executive team, Ellen Siminoff had six adventurous years at Yahoo. During her tenure, she led business development (VP, Business Development and Planning), corporate development (SVP, Corporate Development) and eventually ran the small business and entertainment business units (SVP, Small Business and Entertainment).
Before Yahoo!, Ellen worked for the Los Angeles Times as electronic classifieds manager, where she developed strategy and implemented the newspaper\'s own on-line businesses as well as a joint venture of Career Path with 5 newspaper companies. With her husband, David, Ellen founded EastNet, a global syndicate barter company distributing television programming to 14 emerging market countries in exchange for advertising time. She graduated Stanford\'s Graduate School of Business with an MBA and has a bachelor\'s degree in Economics from Princeton University.
Paul Volen, vice president of partner product marketing, joined Yahoo! Search Marketing (formerly Overture) in February of 2003 and is responsible for marketing the company’s product lines to its network of partners. Paul is also general manager of Content Match, Yahoo! Search Marketing’s innovative contextual advertising product. Prior to Yahoo!, Paul held positions as director of product strategy and director of advertising strategy for AOL Web Properties. He also held positions in Sales and Business Development for AOL's Digital City unit. Paul received his B.S. in Business Administration from CSU Long Beach.

Jason Ma, Founder & CEO, Congruent Partners LLC, brings over 20 years of professional experience in wireless/mobile, Internet/IP, telecom, networking, digital media, and security (ICT) infrastructure, software, and services for consumer, service provider, carrier, and enterprise markets. Ma has led high-performance teams that made and closed deals and managed relationships with hundreds of corporate customers, including wireless/mobile, Internet, and wireline operators/service providers, OEMs, ISVs, channel partners, enterprises, and VC firms (numerous Global 2000s) across Asia Pacific, Americas, and EMEA. Internationally fluid and multicultural, he brings a substantial global Rolodex and tremendous on-the-ground operating experience in strategic planning, sales/field operations, marketing, corporate development, and general management.
